Through a montage of live music and projected images, the "Sounds of the Sahara" tour will educate and inspire. The tour is planning to perform at a multitude of schools and other community spaces across socioeconomic and geographic boundaries. Upon completion of this U.S. experience, audience members who felt a particular affinity to Sounds of the Sahara and Project Zwena's mission will have the opportunity to remain connected through cybernetic links as the film documents a new chapter of exploration and expression. During this chapter, the original desert percussionists will voyage home as part of a larger caravan that has grown over the course of the U.S. tour to include a diverse group of individuals, all feeling a call to Africa.

Back in Africa, the film will continue to explore. Like the Sounds of the Sahara U.S. tour, the newly formed caravan will strive to connect with youth and communities on an intimate level. Collaboration will continue to act as seeds of growth, as the caravan forms local partnerships in an attempt to raise awareness about the world's interconnectedness and the ability people have to make positive change within their environment. In doing so, Project Zwena's Sounds of the Sahara will tell the story of a grass root movement that gives rise to a passionate organization committed to building positive and peaceful connections, one village at a time.

If interested in learning more, making a tax-deductible donation, and/or playing a role in the evolution of this organization, one can make contact with Project Zwena through the filmmaker's email link on this website.
